Women Wage Peace

Yael Braudo-Bahat, co-director of Women Wage Peace, represented us at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy.

Why is the participation of women in peace processes imperative? And why is it so important that newspapers examine efforts towards peace and not only warfare?
Last week, Yael Braudo-Bahat, co-director of Women Wage Peace, represented us at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy. Yael participated in a panel that focused on the critical role of women in peace making and on the examination of wars from a gender point of view. Along side of Yael, Nivine Sandouka, a Palestinian peace activist from ALLMEP and Melina Huet, a French journalist who covered the war in the Ukraine and in our region, participated in the panel. Annette Young, the presenter of The 51 Percent on France 24, hosted the panel.
