An enormous patchwork made from squares contributed by women over the world. The project will be a visual testimony, silently amplifying the yearning for peace in our region; a protest without violence, without words, even. Tangible proof that Israeli and Palestinian women want peace and can work together to create it.
Current plans call for using the assembled quilt as a covering for our sukkat shalom [shelter of peace] for the closing ceremony of the March of Hope in Jerusalem on October 19. For more information about how to prepare and where to send your 14” x 14” (35 x35 cm) square, contact the project’s coordinator, WWP member Aliza Erez at womenpeacequilt@gmail.com.
