Over the last couple of months we have been invited by peace organisations and Jewish communities all over the world.

Geneva – Huda Abu Arkub and Yael Treidel took part in a panel at the Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva University – an Institute which carries out studies on peace and security processes. Read the Swiss hosts impressions – Following the panel discussion, there was a fund raising gala for peace organisations in Israel. Gala event to raise funds for Women Wage Peace, Roots-Judur (dialog between settlers and Palestinians) and Change (تغيير – providing non-violence education to Palestinians) was organized by the wonderful people of Beit of Hope (https://www.facebook.com/b8ofhope/), who organized a very beautiful and successful event. Washington D.C. – Hamutal Guri represented Women Wage Peace at the Jstreet national conference in Washington. Members of the Women Leaders Forum voiced their wish to hear the gender perspective concerning the conflict and peace and security issues. “The panel I took part in dealt with leading the change in Israel. I told them about our movement and said that we are examining the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through a wider and more complex perspective of women and gender.

Whashington D.C. – AIPAC is the largest Jewish lobby in the USA, which seems to have a great influence on congress, invited the WWP representatives to their annual conference in Washington, which more than 20,000 people have attended. Lily Weisberger and Mali Ben-Gavra represented the movement at the conference and made contact with many leading thinkers. Lily took part in a panel about peace movements in Israel and amazed the crowd, in her customary way.
England – Dina Ben Yakir and Huda Abu Arkub were invited to England by Yahad, the British non-profit committed to a political resolution of the conflict, which supports Israel. They visited university campuses, communities and synagogues. Dina has given a comprehensive interview to the Jewish Chronicle.
Italy – Tami Angel and Amira Zaidan went to Italy at the invitation of Inner Peach Organisation and talked to the Italian Parliament about Women Wage Peace.
