“Women are half of the population – even more, and it is clear that they must be a part of the peace process.”
This is what the Norwegian Ambassador in Israel, Kare R. Aas, said at an event which he hosted yesterday for diplomats in Israel; the entire event was devoted to Women Wage Peace, Women of the Sun and the courageous partnership between the two movements. Diplomats and ambassadors from Nigeria, Paraguay, Lithuania, South Sudan, Turkey, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, the European Union, Holland, China, Columbia, Poland, Germany, Jordan, Croatia, Nepal, Spain, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Dominican Republic and Switzerland attended the event. All of them were very moved by the partnership of Israeli and Palestinian women, by our determination to bring about a better future and by our joint plans for the future.
