The night before, the NGO Women Wage Peace (WWP) began its “Mass March for Hope” from the North to Jerusalem, with thousands of Israeli women setting off on a cross-country march in support of a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. A core group of some two dozen women, accompanied by hundreds of supporters along the way, will continue a two-week, 250 km march to the capital, where they intend to picket the prime minister’s house during Succot to demand a solution to the conflict.
