Upon his arrival in Israel this week, American Vice President Mike Pence received a letter from former Israeli parliament member, Eti Livni, on behalf of the organization Women Wage Peace (WWP), which has 30,000 registered members and touts itself as the fastest growing grassroots movement in Israel that aims to include women in the dialogue in order to advance peace.
The letter urged Pence to use his visit to the region “to call directly upon our elected leaders to resume negotiations with the Palestinians that will lead to an honorable and sustainable peace agreement.”
