WWP was established almost 4 years ago after Operation Protective Edge; we realized that more and more operations and wars were not bringing us any closer to peace and security. We knew that bitter conflicts in the world have been resolved and we knew that it could happen here.
\nToday we are tens of thousands of women, Jews and Arabs, religious and secular, from the right the center and the left, from all over the country.
\nFrom Wednesday, May 9th we set up The Mothers\u2019 Tent<\/strong> in the Rose Garden opposite the Knesset. We will be there throughout the summer session; we will be there in order to demand that the decision makers prevent an escalation in the coming weeks and that they seriously consider political alternatives.

\nSunday, May 27th – 5 PM\u2013 Ali Abu Awad from the \u201cShorashim\u201d organization will talk about the process he went through from violent opposition to working for peace.
\nMonday, May 28th \u2013 5:30 PM \u2013 a discussion with Eyal Ehrlich
\nTuesday, May 29th \u2013 10:30 AM \u2013 Avi Dabush will talk about the area around Gaza and the \u201dLand for All\u201d initiative.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Cinema \u2013 Inspiration and Hope<\/span><\/strong>

\nSunday, May 27th, 7 PM \u2013 \u201cInvictus\u201d \u2013 a movie about Nelson Mandela followed by a discussion with Sara Sherman, who was born in South Africa.
\nSunday, June 3rd , 7 PM \u2013 \u201cShades of Hate\u201d screening of the movie followed by a discussion with David Mizrachi a former activist of \u201cla Familia\u201d who became a social activist.
\nTuesday, June 5th ,5 PM – \u201cWomen in the Sink\u201d – A collection of portraits about Arab and Jewish women in a hair salon in Haifa. After the movie there will be a discussion with the director, Iris Zaki.<\/h3>\n

Feminist Activism<\/span><\/strong>

\nMonday, May 28th \u2013 4 PM – \u201cWomen between Passivity and Activism\u201d; a workshop led by Sigalit Or, a researcher at the Hartman Institute.
\nTuesday, June 5th \u2013 10 AM – Empowerment of women in the Haredi community: Miriam Belin from \u201cHatzala\u201d and \u201cHosen\u201d.<\/h3>\n
