Organized by <a href=\"http:\/\/womenwagepeace.org.il\/en\/hundreds-women-march-jerusalem-peace-stuart-winer-times-israel-october-5-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women Wage Peace<\/a>, the March of Peace left Rosh HaNikra, on the border with Lebanon, on Oct. 4, and ended about two weeks later, on Oct. 19,\u00a0with a rally outside the prime minister\u2019s residence on Balfour Street in\u00a0Jerusalem. At that final event, thousands of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tv7israelnews.com\/tag\/march-of-hope\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israeli and Palestinian women<\/a>, all dressed in white, demanded a diplomatic agreement to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.<\/p>\n<p>They marched the length of Israel in 15 days, pausing to hold a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ynetnews.com\/articles\/0,7340,L-4863103,00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series of events<\/a> intended to send the message that peace is not the exclusive purview\u00a0of the left\u00a0and that there is a partner on the other side. The women represented the Israeli left, center\u00a0and right\u00a0as well as Palestinians. Some were religious, and others were secular.
