The event in Montpellier, in the south of France, was very successful and the audience of about 80 people was very supportive.
The event opened with speeches by the presidents of the three organizations that invited us: the Reform community: Kehilat Kedem, the organization that promotes friendship between France and Israel: France-Israël, the Jewish Culture Institute responsible for the promotion of Jewish culture and the fight against anti-Semitism, racism and discrimination: Centre Culturel Juif Simone Veil.
After that, Hyamm and I introduced the movement, our activity throughout the years, the new collaboration with Women of the Sun with a presentation and we finished with a joint reading of the Mothers' cCall.
During the presentation, we received several times applause of support and appreciation for the movement.
Afterwards, we answered the many questions from the audience. Some of them are predictable ane easy and few are more challenging.
We felt at ease answering without going into sensitive and unnecessary issues.
At the end, we received applause and the audience stood to express their thanks and appreciation.
During the break, many female participants approached us to thank us for the activity of the movement and asked us to continue because our path is the right one.
We have contacted interesting women that we would like to keep in touch with.
After us, Anna Assouline's film “Les guerrières de la Paix" and again we were asked more questions and then there was a fascinating lecture bya lot of Rabbi Mira Raz about otherness and at the end there was a concert by the klezmer-rock band "Bacar".
We left with a good feeling and great satisfaction.
